Bangalore.( Source : The Economic Times). Himalaya Baby Care announced the launch of ‘Thank a Nurse, Our Everyday Hero’ initiative on the occasion of International Nurses Day. The initiative aims commemorate nurses for their contribution towards establishing and implementing nursing care with compassion.
In association with leading maternity hospitals such as Fortis Hospitals, Cradle, Cloud Nine and Vaydehi in Bangalore, Himalaya will ask mothers and their families from each hospital to share testimonials on nurse who has taken care of them during their stay. The nurse who receives the maximum number of positive testimonials will be chosen and will be awarded every month. At the end of each year, the nurse with maximum positive testimonials will be recognized and awarded from each maternity hospital. Furthermore, the nurse who gets the highest number of positive testimonials from all her patients will ultimately be awarded the ‘The Best Nurse of the City’.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Chakravarthi, General Manager, Himalaya Baby Care said “Nurses play a significant role in patient care. In fact, they are regarded as the ‘heart of healthcare’, because they combine medical knowledge and expertise with caring with a personal touch.
