Alternative medicines get a push
The Ayush Department of the Nashik civil hospital has organised camp on spreading awareness on the utility of unani science for pre-natal care from October 1 to October 7. The camp is to make different streams of medicines such as ayurveda, homeopathy and unani more popular among masses. At the camp, women will be counseled and informed about different diseases involved during pregnancy and the medication available in unani science. They will also be explained about Unani science and benefits of following a specific routine besides exercise, diet and yogasanas.Different programmes were undertaken through the year to spread awareness about Ayush. There were four doctors at the department which comprises Ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, unani and homeopathy.
