Are you doing research on Cow Urine? Ayush is going to give it a digital platform!
Ayush department is working on a digital platform where all ayurveda practitioners researching cow urine can register themselves and upload evidences of their research. This IT based registry will be open for researchers and the uploaded findings will be vetted and validated by Ayush ministry.
Ayush secretary vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said in a presser, “as of now, there is no evidence to say that ‘Gau mutra’ (cow urine) is working in the treatment of cancer, but research is underway. “Panchgavya” ( a mix of five ingredients- cow urine, dung, milk, curd and honey) is used in traditional Hindu rituals. IIT Delhi and Ayush are working on its definitive effects. Digital registry will help in research as it will be proper to have documentation and thus research will be vetted.
Ministry is also working on research projects regarding “Garbhini Paricharya” (Ayurvedic intervention for ante-natal care) in Garh Chiroli district of Maharashtra. A land is earmarked in Doda (J&K) for research on herbal plants.
