Ayurveda College Launches Fever Prevention Drive
Health Department authorities have been on high alert since the onset of monsoon to check the spread of epidemics. Special fever clinics have been set up in almost all government hospitals in the district, as directed by the District Medical Officer. This year, waterborne diseases top the list of the cases reported in hospitals. The Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, has launched various initiatives to prevent fever, joining hands with the Health Department authorities. The Ayurveda College had launched fever prevention camps and special fever clinics on July 1. Fever prevention activities, including treatment of patients, through traditional Ayurveda methods began at the Tripunithuta center and at the old hospital at Kizhakkekotta. Special fever clinics have been set up at both the centers, where medicines and the service of experts have been made available.
