Ayurveda medicines to undergo clinical trials
The Kerala government will soon start administering the bitter pill which it believes will cure the worst malady that has afflicted Ayurveda recently spurious drugs masquerading as authentic ones. The government received five applications for the study, which has been made mandatory for the license to manufacture and sell patented and proprietary medicines. CARe Keralam, the special purpose vehicle of the State government promoting research in Ayurveda, will conduct the toxicity study.
