Ayurveda PG aspirants question CET evaluation
The results for the Post Graduate Ayurveda Common Entrance Test (PGACET) exam held on August 3 were declared on August 14. The model answer keys to all four sets of questions were also released the same day. Out of 250 questions in the paper, there were discrepancies in the answers to at least 15-20 questions in each key. This has upset the students who now want the evaluation process to be done afresh, with verification of correct answers of the questions in which there is confusion. One compilation of such questions done by students lists 27 questions.
The scores in this exam are the basis of admission to four government and 11 aided colleges in the state. For the 100 seats of each category, 2300 applicants appear. Every mark is counted in a competitive exam and when 15 or 20 marks are at stake, it could make a huge difference in many students’ lives. The students met the officials of the State’s Director of Health Services for a solution.
