FITM announces Fellowships, application deadline 15th December
New Delhi. The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM) has announced its fellowship scheme to promote research to explore economic, sociological, politico-economic, trade, management, and/or IT/digital technology in Indian systems of Medicine. The application deadline is the 15th of December 2018. Fellowship amount is Rs. 5 lakh per year for doctoral research and Rs. 7.5 lakh for post-doctoral research. The scheme does not apply to research on clinical, pharmacological, pharmacognosy and related subject areas.
The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM), established at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH, is a common platform for all actors and stakeholders to come together to contribute to pragmatic policymaking on Indian Traditional Medicine(ITM). According to the FITM site, the duration of the Doctoral Fellowships will be of two years from the date of award and the duration of the Postdoctoral Fellowship will be of one year from the date of the award. Based on the shortlisted meritorious Proposals from eligible applications and/or interviews with the candidates, the Fellowship Committee shall recommend the names to the FITM for grant of Fellowships.
