MP government launches campaign to improve village health services
The state health minister Narrotham Mishra has launched ‘Swasth Gram Abhiyaan’, a campaign to improve village health services in Madhya Pradesh.
Once implemented, the government hopes it would be able to guarantee as much as 17 health services, making Madhya Pradesh the first state to implement Health Services Delivery Guarantee Scheme.
There are about 80,000 health workers and 7,500 doctors including AYUSH working in the government sector in MP. There are 1773 Ayush hospitals in the state which has benefited around 1.25 crore people, to-date.
