MyUpchar raises $5Million
Bengaluru. Multi-lingual health platform myupchar raised $5 Million funding from Nexus venture, Omidyar network and Shunwei Capital to strengthen its base and expand its visual content reach.
“Our focus over the next couple of years is to address this gap via technology and content,” said Rajat Garg, chief executive of myUpchar to Economic Times, “As our technology gets smarter and smarter, we will personalize every user’s experience to enhance our ability to have a real impact on their health outcomes.”
According to the report,myUpchar claims that they are currently accessed by more than 10 million people. The company’s aim is to serve those millions of people who want quality information and services but are unable to access them because they are not available in local languages. myUpchar has partnered with doctors to create health content in 13 Indian languages across various disciplines such as Allopathy, Ayurveda and Homeopathy. myUpchar has provided proprietary voice search, as well as text to speech technology for all health content.
