NASYA’s Largest Class of Charak Samhita goes into International Book of Records
New Delhi: Largest Class of Charak Samhita organized by NASYA (National Ayurveda Students & Youth Association) in collaboration with Vijnana Bharati concluded as the event entered the record-book of IBR (International Book of Records) with an attendance of as many as 703 participating Ayurveda practitioners and students.
The program was conducted to revive the interest of Ayurveda students toward the reading of Original Classical Texts. Charak Samhita is the most important classical texts from which most of Ayurveda has originated. NASYA came up with the idea so as to showcase the importance of these Shastras for complete understanding of the ancient health science. The Largest Class of Charak Samhita was organized at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri, New Delhi. The event saw a large gathering of Ayurveda students as well as many eminent dignitaries and doctors. It was supported by the Ministry of AYUSH.
Talking about the event, Chhagan Jangid, National President, NASYA, said, “NASYA is keen about helping Ayurveda students become better Vaidyas tomorrow. Reading Samhitas is an important requirement to grasp the knowledge of Ayurveda in its complete dimensions. NASYA took this challenge as an opportunity to come up with the unique concept of the Largest Class of Charak. This will not just motivate the students, but practitioners as well.”
Commenting on the the grand success of the event, Dr. Pooja Kohli, General Secretary, NASYA, said, “A class of this large magnitude has never been organized in the history of Ayurveda. Thousands of Ayurveda practitioners, students and dignitaries attended the event from different parts of the country. Apart from being the record breaking International Book of Records Largest Class of Charak, this day has also registered its significance as a milestone for Ayurveda to set new benchmarks in nurturing the future league of bright and learned young Ayurveda practitioners. NASYA will keep bringing such initiatives to guide and enrich Ayurveda youth toward the brighter future in which we together will build a healthy and happy society.”
