National Seminar on “Role of Ayurveda and Allied therapies in Lifestyle management and mental health”
Shri Gulabkunverba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Gujarat Ayurved University organized a national seminar on “Role of Ayurved and allied therapies in life style management and mental health”. from 1st to 3rd July at Jamnagar,Gujarat. The event was attended by eminent experts, academicians, researchers, practitioners, professionals and students of Ayurveda and Allied therapies and pharmaceuticals. The Chief Patron for the event was Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, the Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Ayurved University.
The seminar was addressed by many key speakers and prominent health professionals. During the seminar, many research papers and posters were presented on the focal theme. With rapid economic development and increasing modernization in the past few decades, prevalence of lifestyle and psychiatric disorders has reached alarming proportions amongst the population world over. Ayurveda and Allied Therapies consider health and disease both as the products of food and lifestyle. In accordance to this ideology, special emphasis is laid on the preventive aspects in Ayurved and other Indigenous medicines like Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha etc. with their in-depth analysis of body/mind effect assessment and curative aspect for Lifestyle Disorders and maintenance/ promotion of Mental Health.
