‘Prakriti Card’ for Everyone Soon

New Delhi: You may soon get ‘Prakriti Card’ for yourself. The information was shared by Prof. Vaidya Kartar Singh Dhiman, Director General for Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) in a special interview with Ayurved Sutra. “We are working extensively towards facilitating every individual with their own ‘Prakriti Card’.

It will be like Aadhar Card or Pan Card. CCRAS in last three years has developed a standardized protocol to access Prakriti and its relevance with the parameters of health and disease,” he informed.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH for the formulation, coordination, development and promotion of research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.

Prakriti can be defined as the constitution of the body based on Tridoshas (three biological humors – Vata, Pitta and Kapha) which are present in each and every cell of the body along with mind and spirit.

Research in Ayurveda started in 1952, but till date the standard protocol and format for validating the Prakriti, constitution of individual was not accepted in the country. “But after series of exhausting and brainstorming workshops of national working group, we have been to develop a standardised protocol and format for validating the Prakriti, which is available in soft format also,” he said.

From January 2019, Ayurvedic personal will be trained and later on workshops will be held at regional levels in ayurvedic colleges to help them understand and learn the in and outs of the software.
