Sami Direct to enter Kerala market
KOCHI: Sami Direct, direct sellers of a range of nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products, is all set to foray into Kerala market.
A subsidiary of Indian multinational health science company Sami Labs Ltd, the company is expecting a turnover of Rs 100 crore in three years in the state.
“We hope to address the growing phenomenon of lifestyle diseases. Our products are 100% tested and validated in recognised research centres of global repute,” said Dr Muhammed Majid, managing director of Sami Direct Backed by over 110 international patents, the company’s products include protein, fibres, curcumine, probiotics, sport nutrients, diabetic and metabolism management products, cosmeceuticals which include 50 plus natural beauty care products.
The move marks the next step in the company’s strategy to become a more competitive global business by expanding its operations. Currently the company has presence in India and Malaysia. It plans to expand into Middle East, Indonesia and Bangladesh in the next one year.
The Rs 650 crore Sami Labs with its 125 strong R &D team and over 5000 acres of contract farming develop innovative patented nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products for SamiDirect, Majeed said.
