‘Vision for Ayurveda -2020’ to be Submitted before the Union Minister
The Ayurvedic Medicine Manufactures Organisation of India (AMMOI) and the industrial cell of the BJP will submit the ‘Vision for Ayurveda -2020’ document to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ayush, Shri. Shripad Yesso Naik. The ‘Vision for Ayurveda -2020’ is draft plan which contains the proposals for the future development of Ayurveda in a sustainable manner.
The proposal also include the suggestions and recommendations of Ayurveda industrialists. Before the election, BJP laid emphasis on Ayurveda in its election manifesto. As per the promise, the central government has earmarked a sum of 100 crore for this purpose. Most importantly, Kerala is the best suitable place to set up the proposed National Institute of Medicinal Plants and 50 crore worth National Institute of Geriatrics project and AMMOI would appeal the Union Minister to give permission to start two premier institutions in Kerala through the vision Ayurveda-2020 project as it is the cradle of Ayurveda since time immemorial.
