Workshop on managing diabetes through ayurveda organized in Muscat
The Sri Sri Ayurveda clinic, part of Art of Living Oman, held a workshop on prevention and management of diabetes through ayurveda, at the Bahja Hall of Jungle restaurant in Qurm. The event, attended by about 400 people, had an interactive session on diabetes.
Oman is among the six MENA nations that feature among the top ten countries of the world with the highest prevalence of diabetes and pre-. The main reasons for it are sedentary lifestyle, consumption of junk foods and increasing stress levels. Ayurveda had helped several patients to reduce dependence on insulin. Herbal medicines and therapies like panchakarma and abhyangam, accompanied by dietary and lifestyle modifications help many people regulate diabetes.
