Ayurvedsutra Vol 07 issue 01 69 - Recipes during Postnatal period

Method of preparation:-

  1. First of all put ghee in pan and add gum acacia into it. Deep fry this gum and keep it aside. When it gets cooled, make its powder.
  2. Now add wheat flour in the pan and roast it well.
  3. When it starts leaving ghee or ghee gets separated add poppy seeds, sesame seeds, coconut powder, fenugreek powder, pippali root powder, black pepper powder, dry ginger and fried gum into it.
  4. Also add dry fruits and ajwain powder to it and mix all the ingredients well.
  5. When all the above ingredients are properly mixed, switch off the flame and add jaggery to it and mix well.
  6. Once it is mixed well make Modaka’s (small round balls) from this mixture by giving it round shape with hands.
