Concept of Vyadhikshamatwa: Optimizing Health and Curing Disease
The body will be possessed with strength, good complexion, growth and longer life, provided the person does not indulge in factors which deteriorate health. Consumption of proper amounts of food certainly helps the individual in bringing strength, good complexion, happiness and longevity.
During certain conditions even unwholesome food does not produce disease immediately. All unwholesome food is not equally harmful, all dosas are not equally powerful, and variations in physique and mind play a role in resisting disease.
