Ayurveda, Unani and Sidhha, drugs will remain a controversial topic. There are two schools of thoughts, one advocates clinical trials in the name of validation of ASU drugs and another say it is a question mark on authenticity of Ayurveda. There was uproar on this issue when Economics Times published the news on 30th May 2016. “New ayurvedic drugs to face tough clinical trials” (1) As acceptance and popularity of ayurveda is growing day by day, more and more people demanding scientific validation of Ayurveda drugs. There is no harm in such demands but the big question is PROTOCOL on which these validations are supposed to test?
