Emotional compatibility SUPPRESSING THE SUPPRESSIBLES – THE AYURVEDIC WAY
The definition of health in Ayurveda indicates that healthy state of a human being does not depend only on physical health but also on a mental health. Both are equally important in Ayurveda.
Mind is said to be Ubhayendriyaie Gnyanendriya (sense organ) and Karmendriya (motor organ) both. It is an essential element in the processes of grasping knowledge and in the process of doing action. Thus it is called as Ubhayendriya. It possess one Guna (Good quality) – Satvan and two Dosha (Harmful qualities) — Raja and Tama. The two in their imbalanced state become a cause of emotional disorders.
What is Emotion?
According to modern psychology, emotions are evaluative responses to environmental events that coordinate various physical and psychological sub-systems for the purpose of a best possible response. Emotions are required for our survival, communications, making decisions and happiness.
