Dealing with Diabetes with Ayurveda
Modulation in Ahara & Vihara as an adjuvant to Ayurvedic medicines is a good treatment modality, which the world needs to look upon. Diabetes is a global epidemic plaguing rich and poor alike. It is a dreadful life style disorder in the present health scenario. It is estimated that between 1995- 2025 diabetic patients in India will increase by 195 per cent. The Diabetes Mellitus is characterized by hyperglycemia, abnormal protein and lipid metabolism along with specific long term complications affecting the retina, kidney, arteries and venous system.
